Ingredients:

For the topping:

1/2 cup melted butter, 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup oatmeal (rolled oats), 1/2 cup Grape Nuts, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup white sugar,

For the filling: 5-6 apples (Granny Smith and Pink Lady), juice of 1/2 lemon, 2 tbsp butter, 1/3 cup white sugar, 1/3 cup packed brown sugar, 1 tbsp water1/4 tsp cinnamon,

Technique:

Inside a huge mixing bowl, prepare the awesome crispy topping by mixing up flour along with white sugar, brown sugar, rolled oats, and the secret additive grape nuts. Stir melted butter into the mixture and stir totally. Put aside.

Prepare the apples by peeling them and chopping them into quarters. Core every single quarter, and after that cut them into thin even pieces. Put apple slices in a mixing bowl, and then squeeze out the extract of of lemon. Toss apple pieces to dress them with the extract. This is undertaken to keep from browning.
