Next Get-Together Recipes

If I were to choose whom to be reunited again in immortality, I would really shower Heavenly Father with all my gratitude if He would permit me to be together again with my family. No other relationship I know that is worth all the struggles on earth than the bond that the family shares with each other. Just don't exactly know the name of that thin thread that binds the family together but when love, understanding, forgiveness, and acceptance is present, it is just like having known that name before.

I have prepared here two delectable something to enliven family togetherness at home. Its a must-try recipes that  helps keep a family to be sticking together through thick and thin.


UPSIDE DOWN MEATLOAF


You will need:


1      can Del Monte Sliced Pineapple (439 g), drained, reserve syrup

For the meatloaf


3/4    kg ground beef
100   g onion, chopped
1       pc small carrot, chopped
100   g sweet ham, chopped
100   g Hungarian or Vienna sausage, chopped
1       pc large red bell pepper, chopped
2       stalks celery, chopped
4       slices bread, chopped
2       pc eggs
2       packs Del Monte Sandosenang Sarap All-in-One Seasoning
         (18 g each)

For the sauce


1/4    cup Del Monte Banana Ketchup
2       tbsp orange marmalade
1       tsp cornstarch, dissolved in pineapple syrup

Here's how:


1. Combine ingredients for meatloaf; mix well. Arrange Del Monte Sliced pineapple on the bottom of 9" x 5" pan. Pour meat mixture. Bake at 375F for 1 hour. Invert pan then spoon cooked sauce on top. Bake for another 20 minutes.

2. To cook sauce: Combine ingredients. Simmer over medium heat, stirring continuously for 10 minutes or until thick.


PATA ASADO


You will need:


2       tbsp minced garlic
1/2    cup chopped onions
1       pc laurel leaf
1/4    tsp whole peppercons
1       pc star anise
1/8    tsp 5-spice powder ngohiong
1       kg pork pata (front), cut into serving portions
3       tbsp oyster sauce
1/4    cup soy sauce
1/4    cup rice wine or gin (optional)
1/3    cup brown sugar
2       pouches Del Monte Pineapple Tidbits (115 g each)

Here's how:


1. Saute' the first 6 ingredients in 2 tbsp oil. Add pata and saute until lightly browned.

2. Add oyster sauce, soy sauce, rice wine, sugar and 3 cups water.
    Cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until pata is fork-tender.

3. Add Del Monte Pineapple Tidbits with syrup.
    Simmer for 8 more minutes.
