From time to time I get bored of the very simple pancake recipe and choose to attempt something fresh, something various. An uncomplicated technique to spice up you pancakes is incorporating fruits. It truly is quick since the only thing we do differently when producing pancake batter is adding fruit. Now in this blueberry pancake recipe we will be obviously adding blueberries but that should not stop you to substitute blueberries with all sorts of other fruits. You can use any fruit you want but some mix and melt into the pancakes better. For example ripe bananas, blueberries, blackberries will blend in really perfectly. One more thing - it's generally a version of nutritious pancake recipe but you may include fruit to any pancake recipe you get on this site... well other than the veggie salty ones I suppose.

Blueberry pancake recipe ingredients:

1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 1 egg, 1 cup milk (you could add more if needed, up to 1/4 cup more), 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon artificial sweetener (you may also use brown sugar, honey or no sugar at all), 1/2 cup blueberries (or ripe bananas, or blackberries, or strawberries, or cherries, or...)

Serves four.

1. Sift together flour and baking powder.

2. Beat the egg, milk, salt and artificial sweetener together inside a container.

3. Mix in flour/baking powder until everything is moistened. If the batter to thick add some more milk. The appropriate pancake batter is thin enough to pour it but not runny.

4. Utilize a pan, a griddle, a skillet for generating your pancakes. If it's not non-stick - spray it with cooking spray. Use medium heat and wait for the pan to heat up.

5. For a single pancake pour about 1/4 cup of the batter into the pan.

6. Turn the pancake around once you see bubbles on top (1 1/2 minutes). The continue cooking until it turns golden brown.

We do hope you enjoyed this blueberry pancake recipe.
