Instant Treats with Supermarket Baking Mixes

With our daily busy schedules, how good it is to just wake up with an instant food on the table, after all we all live in the world of instants - instant coffee, instant tea, instant noodles, and etc. These treats are exactly right for busy people who always keep running after time. These are all surely a hit to your quickie food wants and


TRIPLE CHOCOLATE COOKIES

Imagine this: a cookie with three kinds of chocolate – milk, white, and dark. Irresistible? You bet! Prepare a 167-gram pack chocolate chip cookie mix (we used Pillsbury One-Step Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix) according to package directions. Mix in 1/8 cup white chocolate chips and 1/8 cup dark chocolate chunks plus ¼ cup chopped almonds. Bake at 350oF for 12 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 4 large cookies.


BANANA WALNUT BREAD

Want to enjoy warm, freshly baked bread in easy, simple steps? Now you can! Just add ¼ cup oil, ½ teaspoon vanilla, 2 eggs, 1/3 cup sugar, 1/3 cup honey, 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder, 1/3 cup chopped walnuts, and 2 ripe bananas (mashed) to a 212-gram pack buttermilk biscuit mix (we used Bisquick Buttermilk Biscuit Mix) and mix well. Pour mixture into a lightly greased loan pan and bake at 350oF for 15 to 20 minutes or until done. Cool, slice, and serve. Makes 5 small loaves.


NUTTY BROWNIE BARS

Here’s a delicious and decadent brownie recipe that’s crunchy and creamy too! Prepare 230-gram pack brownie mix (we used Maya Oven Toaster Brownie Mix) according to package directions. Mix in 2/3 cup cashew nuts. Bake at 350oF for 20 minutes or until done. Cool slightly. Spread Nutella on top and sprinkle with cashew nuts. Makes 8 bars.


HAM AND CHEESE WAFFLEWICH

Want something new for breakfast? Prepare a 230-gram pack pancake mix (we used Magnolia Pancake Plus Mix) according to package directions. Pour mixture into a lightly greased waffle maker and cook until golden brown. Place a slice of ham and cheese in between two waffles and serve with your favorite spread. Voila, breakfast is served. Serves 2.
