Party Food Made Quick and Easy
By Anya Shiela Richards
When we make parties, receptions, or gatherings, we like to serve some kind of light refreshment. Ideally, if we had a lot of time and money at our disposal, the menu would be very elaborate, with all manner of gateaux, desserts, fancy mousses, tortes, and other culinary works of art. Fiesta Ice cream Sandwich
Here's a dessert that kids will love it no end! Its chilly, fruity and delicious.
I have really observed that children love ice cream and wafer and how about combining the two in one fruity dessert, here's what they have to say:
Lalang: "The best! I will not save even a scoop of ice cream for tomorrow."
Jacyleah: "Never have I tasted something so heavenly like Ice cream Sandwich."
Jan Kelly: "Hope all sandwiches taste like this one, hehehe!"
Crista: "I can eat them even if I am missing my front teeth!"
Colyn: "I always want for more and more and more!"
You have to try this at home and enjoy what your children have to say! Exciting!
FIESTA ICE CREAM SANDWICH
You will need:
2 packs vanilla or chocolate wafers (200 g each)
1 pint vanilla ice cream
1 can Del Monte Fiesta Fruit Cocktail (439 g)
Here's how:
1. Line a 7" x 7" pan with foil. Cover bottom of pan with a single layer of wafers.
2. Spread half of the ice cream to cover the wafers. Top evenly with chopped Del Monte Fiesta Fruit Cocktail. Cover and freeze for about an hour. Freeze remaining ice cream.
3. After an hour, spread the remaining ice cream on top of fruit then cover with remaining wafers. Freeze again until firm. Cut into serving portions and wrap in foil. Freeze until ready to serve.
