A Few of My Fav Fat-Blasting Foods From the Huntington Beach Personal Trainer

Many people want to lose weight, and the hardest place to lose the weight is most often the belly. Some people work out as much as they can to try and get a flatter stomach but sometimes that just isn't enough. Start incorporating some of the following foods below that target the belly are and burn away fat.



Unsaturated Fats. There are some foods that you can eat that can help you get a flatter belly. These foods are high in monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFA) which target the belly area to help you lose fat. Eat these with a healthy diet and continue your regular workouts and watch the fat melt away. (Nuts, almonds, pistachios, avocados, olives, dark chocolate, flaxseed oil). These foods are high in unsaturated fat (good fat) because they help lower LDL levels and regulate weight related hormones. They also have omega-3 fatty acids with regulates blood sugar. Blood sugar is one of the major factors that cause belly fat.

Green Tea. Green tea increases metabolism which is why it is so good for waist slimming effects. The compound found in green tea, catechins, helps with the increase in metabolism by boosting the amount of energy spent, increasing how much fat is released from the fat cells and speeding up how much fat the liver burns. Drinking as low as one cup of green tea a day will help you whittle your waist. You can opt for decaf green tea, which has lesser catechins, but it still gets the job done.

Eggs. Everyone should start off their day with a breakfast that includes eggs. This is because eggs are high in protein and studies have found that individuals who eat meals higher in protein will burn more calories in a day. Other studies have found that people who eat eggs for breakfast have a lesser tendency to overeat throughout the rest of the day.

Dairy products. Incorporate dairy products, such as low fat milk, yogurt and cheese into your diet because dairy products are high in whey protein. Whey protein is known to help build lean body mass, which in turn increases weight loss. Whey protein also helps people by making them feel fuller for longer periods, which stops people from snacking in between meals. Aim for three servings of low fat or non fat dairy a day.

Quinoa and whole grains. Quinoa is a whole grain product, and as widely publicized, whole grain products are healthier than their white counterparts. In a study two groups of people were given the same amount of calories to eat, but one group had white starches (white rice, etc) and the other group ate whole grains. The group that ate whole grains lost twice as much belly fat as the other group. Quinoa is especially good for you because it has twice the protein than regular cereal grains and it has fewer carbohydrates as well.

There are many ways to lose weight, and certain foods and exercises that can help speed along the process. The above mentioned foods certainly help you to lose belly fat, but you have to be consistent with what you eat as well and help the food along by combining it with exercise for more flat blasting potential.
