Part of learning to appreciate the everyday is by making sure that the daily life you lead is one that you have chosen for yourself. Look at your environment; are there enough reminders of things that motivate you? Close your eyes and try to smell your surroundings, does it relax or cause you stress? It was found that people who have a potted plant, a view of the park or are exposed to greenery tend to work better and are a lot happier compared to people who see nothing but concrete and the traffic of vehicles and people.

So, if your surroundings are too full of uninspiring clutter or the smell around you is unpleasant, then maybe you can start doing something about it. Put away things that are just taking up space. Post pictures of loved ones on your wall, write down your favorite quote on the first page of your organizer, spray your work area with your favorite scent. Notice how doing these things make your disposition lighter and sunnier. When you are happy, performing every tasks become naturally easier.

Other suggestions: bring in fresh flowers from the garden, turn a cute photo of your pet into the background on your computer's desktop, display post cards sent by friends from abroad and try to cook this full of inspiration dish named Chocolate Decadence Torte. You will never be bored of life again!

You will need:

1 lb                  bitter sweet bar - quality brands only
2 sticks            butter
10 pc               large eggs room temperature - separated
1 1/2 cups        granulated sugar
dash salt

Here's how:

1.) In a double broiler, melt chocolate and butter over low simmering heat. Stir to make smooth and set aside.

2.) Meanwhile beat egg yolks with sugar in an electric mixer bowl for 10 minutes at high speed until almost a marshmallow consistency. Mixture will fall off from beaters in ribbon-like strands.

3.) In another bowl with clean beaters whip whites until soft but moist peaks.

4.) Stir chocolate mixture into yolk mixture and blend smooth.

5.) Gently fold in 1/4 of the whites and blend well. Then fold the remainder of the whites and blend.

6.) Pour mixture into the well-greased pan. Smooth top of batter. It will fill 3/4 full.

7.) Bake in a preheated 425 degrees F oven about 35 to 45 minutes or until center appears set. Cake will rise up and above the pan and with cooling will fall back to original level. To really make it really decadent, remove the spring form side edge and while still warm take a flat plate and gently press the cake down.

8.) Cool completely on rack. Carefully remove sides and chill cake overnight. You can dollop whipped cream on cut pieces or place your favorite sliced fruit over the center or add a chocolate glaze.
