Recent studies have found that adding at least one egg to your breakfast can more satisfying than eating something like a bagel with the same amount of calories. This allows you to feel fuller and no need to snack before lunch. Even those watching their cholesterol can benefit from the high protein and moderate fat in eating a daily egg. Here are a few simple easy yet tasty healthy recipes for breakfasts.



A breakfast taco is quick, easy, and a delicious start to a day. You will need a corn tortilla, salsa, reduced-fat cheddar cheese, and an egg. Place cheese and salsa on a tortilla and place in the microwaves for thirty seconds, while that is heating, scramble your egg. Afterwards, place the scrambled egg inside the tortilla, fold up as you would a normal taco, and enjoy.

A flavorful and colorful treat packed full of protein is a tomato and spinach omelet. You will need some cherry tomatoes halved, a scallion sliced, baby spinach, and an egg. Cook your tomatoes and scallion until soft and then add the baby spinach and cover for thirty seconds. Afterwards, mix the vegetables up and add your egg and cook, stirring constantly. When your omelet is done, sprinkle with some cheese, cover so the cheese melts, then fold in half and serve.

Burrito lovers would enjoy a quick scrambled egg burrito in the morning. You will need a whole-wheat flour tortilla, green chilies, low-fat cheddar cheese, reduced-fat sour cream, an egg, and salsa with black beans or whatever type you prefer. Mix the egg and chilies together and then scramble. When ready, place inside a tortilla, add cheese, roll, and dip into your sour cream and salsa. Alternatively, you can add the salsa and sour cream inside the burrito and eat that way.

Egg sandwich - Taking a classic and substituting egg whites does not cost it any flavor, but gives it a healthier twist. This sandwich calls for egg whites, tomatoes, nonfat cheddar cheese, and turkey bacon. Cook your egg whites and then place on whole-grain bread and top with cheddar cheese, turkey bacon, and tomatoes for a delicious breakfast sandwich that is good for you.

If you prefer muffins to bread, you can use a whole-grain English muffin instead. In this version, you can replace the turkey bacon with some spinach. Toast the muffin and place your spinach on first, then add a slice of cheese and place in microwave a few seconds until the cheese is melted. Then add your egg and a slice of tomato and enjoy your breakfast.

To add onto the easy recipes, you can make a frittata Italiana. You will need nonfat soft cream cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh basil, and two egg whites for this colorful dish. Mix the egg whites and cream cheese together and then pour into a hot skillet. When it starts to set, add tomatoes and basil leaves. Let it cook covered for about two minutes until done. When ready, slide onto a plate, cut into wedges, and serve with whole-grain toast.

Easy recipes can be healthy recipes. Eggs are a great source of protein and just one a day added to your breakfast is a perfect healthy choice. These six breakfasts are delicious examples of how you can enjoy eggs in your meal in a healthy way. You can also create your own healthy recipes by choosing some favorite vegetables and using them with egg whites or a single egg anytime you like.
