The biggest factor in being able to lose weight quick is to increase your metabolism. This is the combination of all the energy that is used and created by your body.

People that are skinny, and can eat a gallon of ice cream every night without gaining weight have high metabolisms. The rest of us aren't so lucky.

You can increase your metabolism several different ways. Probably the easiest, that doesn't require changing much is to simply change the amount of food you eat throughout the day. You don't need to reduce the amount, just take the same amount you eat and spread it out over the course of a day. This will have a noticeable impact on your metabolism in just a couple of days.

Your metabolism is like a non-stop factory that runs twenty four hours a day. You are always burning energy. But if you consume more than you need to burn, it will be stored as fat.

This was good when food was scarce, but we don't live in caves anymore. It is unlikely you will ever need to tap into your reserves.

When you spread out your food over the course of the day, your body won't store any of the extra calories, because their won't be any.

Your metabolism will switch to burning more and more as you continue to do this. Pretty soon, you'll be burning food faster than you can eat it.

And when you do this, your metabolism will generally increase to the point where it starts to burn fat for energy, in addition to the food you eat.

Just by spreading out the food you already eat, you will be taking a fantastic first step in slimming down and getting a tight, tone body. When you combine this with other methods, it can be incredibly effective.
