Breakfasts Are An Important Meal

How many mothers tell their children to eat breakfast, no matter how big a hurry you were in, mothers make sure all the kids eat before leaving the house. Well, your mom was right; breakfasts are the most important meal of the day. After you have slept all night, your body needs fuel so you have the energy to face your day. It does not matter so much what you eat, just that you give your body some food.



Some people think that skipping breakfast will help them lose weight, or that if they do not have breakfast they can have dessert after dinner. This is a bad habit to get into; breakfast gives us the energy we need to make it through our morning. Many people can admit they have skipped breakfast more than once and when they do they usually do not have a good morning. You can get much more done when eating in the morning.

There are many fast food chains that offer breakfast; and going through the drive-thru saves time and effort, but these may not be the healthiest breakfast choices. Although many love a sausage and egg biscuit with hash browns, it is ok to splurge once and a while, especially when in a hurry.

Sometimes people get into a breakfast rut, and eat the same thing every day. For instance, some people eat a bowl of oatmeal and a glass of milk every morning in the winter and a carton of yogurt and a glass of milk in the summer. Some people just know what they like, I guess.

Some people love weekend breakfasts; gathering in the kitchen on the weekend mornings and prepare a huge breakfast for everyone. Maybe making waffles, bacon and cheese eggs or homemade biscuits, hash browns and country ham is what you like. This may not be the best breakfast for your health, but enjoying the time spent with each other is important too.

Sometimes it is fun to go out to breakfast with friends, but not a fast food breakfast. Try to have breakfast with my friends every couple of months, go to a nice restaurant and splurge; eggs benedicts or eggs Florentine and mimosas. You can get a chance to catch up, and enjoy a meal you do not have to cook.

Sometimes it is hard to get the children to eat a healthy breakfast before school; there are many easy and healthy recipes that you can try. Peanut butter or cheese toast may be their favorite. They can take it with them if they tend to move slow in the morning.

Whatever you choose to eat for breakfast, just remember that it is important to choose healthy recipes. By skipping this meal, it will not help you lose weight; you will probably end up eating an unhealthy, calorie packed snack halfway through your morning when you could have had a delicious fruit smoothie. Breakfasts gives us the energy we need to face our day with a smile.

  1. How I love breakfast! Yes, they provides me energy to face the day ahead. I never skip breakfast all my life. It's been with my system and I intend to keep it that way. I feel stronger and more ready to face my activities whenever I got this meal.
